Start/End Dates: 6/9/08-8/5/08
Open registration begins on April 15, 2008 until June 13, 2008 for classes with openings.

Fall 2008 - Term 2088
Start/End Dates: 8/18/08-12/15/08
Open registration begins on June 4, 2008 until August 29, 2008 for classes with openings.

When can I access my online class?

Access to classes begins on the start date of your class. You can log in, but you will not have access to your classes until the start date.

Question: Steps for manuevering within your Blackboard course.

Answer:

After logging in, you might ask, "Where do I begin?". The information below will guide you as to where to go next.

Once logged in you will see your Welcome page (below). There are four main areas on this page; Tools, Search the Web, Today's Announcements, and My Courses.

In the Tools area there is a link for "Personal Information". Click on this link to update your email address and change your password.

The next page that you will see (below) is where you will edit your personal information and change your password.

Once you have changed these items, scroll to the bottom of the page and click submit and then click OK to return to the main Welcome page. It is important to perform these steps now before continuing further.

In the My Courses area of the Welcome page click on the name of your course to enter that course.

Once there you will see the Announcements page below. The following buttons on the left side always remain stationary and are how you maneuver within your course.

  1. Annoucements: The first thing you should read every time you login.
  2. Syllabus: Includes important course information.
  3. Staff Information: Includes instructor and technical support information.
  4. Course Material: Includes the course assignments, quizzes, exams, etc.
  5. Communication: Includes email and communication tools within your course.
  6. Discussion Board: Includes an area to discuss topics with other students.
  7. Web Sites: Includes other sites to visit.
  8. Tools: Includes personal information, changing your password or email address, etc.

Most of your time will be spent in the Course Materials and Communication sections of your courses.
