Question: Using the discussion board.
Answer:
Log into your course and click on the Discussion Board button.
Click on the individual discussion name that you wish to enter.
Click the "Add New Thread" button to begin a new discussion.
Click in the Subject area to type a subject heading. Then Click in the Message area and type a brief message. Now click on the "Browse" button to attach your file.
In the "Look in: dropdown box find the correct folder where the file is saved. You may need to maneuver down through several folders in order to find your saved file. When you locate the file, highlight it by clicking on it once, and then click the "open" button.
This action will attach the document to the message and places a file path in the Attachment window. You must then click the submit button to complete the attachment.
Once submitted, you will see that your "New Thread" has been added to the Discussion Board. Click OK to complete the process.
To view your new thread, click on the "subject link".
To view your attached document, click on the "attachment link".
